The TOPPRO (Tendinopathy of Patella Pain Relieving Orthoses) study has now commenced at the Sports Medical Centre in Groningen (part of the University Medical Centre of Groningen). The study is investigating the efficacy of a patella brace and sports tape in relation to the pain experienced by jumpers with knee complaints.

Nea International bv is pleased to have been able to supply the patella braces for this study. The inclusion of this brace in the study is going well and according to plan. Ultimately the researchers hope to include 140 patients in the study.

TOPPRO is a follow-up to the pilot study in which the Push patella brace was already applied in cases of jumper’s knee.
