Just recently Nea became better acquainted with the healthcare sector in Brazil. In May the company attended the medical trade fair in Sao Paulo. South America is regarded as a growth market with great potential for medical devices. Brazil is leading the way in South America, being the largest economy and fastest growing market in that continent.

The trade fair offered a good reflection of the current dynamic in the sector. The fair attracted 90,000 visitors including doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, purchasing professional for care institutions and representatives from trade and industry. There were visitors from more than 74 countries. The high contingent of visitors from Latin American countries showed that Hospitalar is seen as an important orientation point for the whole continent.
The healthcare sector in Brazil attracts a great deal of attention from imported products. According to the local management authorities they are of vital importance to good healthcare. All global brands were present at the trade fair that from a quality perspective could be compared with Medica in Dusseldorf. It was interesting to note that 40% of the exhibitors came from abroad.

All in all it was a special experience. Nea was able to establish valuable contacts and we are convinced that Push can make a great contribution to Brazilian healthcare.
