Sports injury prevention symposium

Nov 07, 2016

On Thursday afternoon 3 November, VeiligheidNL (Dutch Health and Safety Institute), the Sports Knowledge Centre, ZonMw (Dutch Health Research and Development Agency) and Push Braces presented the first Sports Injury Prevention Symposium. It was a very interesting afternoon, covering a range of topics including sports injuries and developments in the field of sports injury prevention in the Netherlands. Speakers included coaches, athletes and researchers.

During the symposium a number of topics were discussed, including how braces can play a major role; for example in the lecture about "acute ankle injuries in young girls who play football", given by Drs. Karin Thijs (from the University Medical Centre Utrecht). We look back at a very inspiring afternoon.
