Nowadays early intervention using functional therapy with braces is standard procedure for the treatment of injuries to tissue and bone structures. In the early nineteen eighties, therapists tested the orthosis as an alternative to tape. This was a very successful method but was not very user-friendly. It was during this time that Nea International BV and Push Braces were conceived. The medical journal "Orthopädieschuhtechnik" is aimed at specialists in foot healthcare and this journal interviewed Robin Hooghiemstra, Sales Manager at Nea International.
