Push ortho Hand Orthosis DPT

The Push ortho Hand Orthosis DPT is a dynamic extension brace for patients with Dupuytren’s contracture. The patented design applies a targeted, dynamic extension force to individual fingers. The innovative leaf spring system exerts a gentle stretching force on Dupuytren cords. When worn regularly for set periods, which applies a constant extension force, it is intended to lessen the contracture or stop it altogether.

The  Push ortho Hand Orthosis DPT can be used as first-line conservative treatment or in combination with other therapy. Both pre- and postoperative. When and for how long it should be worn each day are decided depending on the severity of the condition, to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Treatment goal:
  • First-line treatment for muscle contracture
  • Reducing (residual) contracture in addition to other treatment
  • Slowing progression of early-stage or existing contracture
  • Preserving outcomes after treatment for contracture
Remain comfortable and move freely during therapy
Prescribing a treatment plan means patients can have treatment in their own environment, while still being able to perform activities of normal daily living. Following an initial settling-in period, the extension force applied by the orthosis can be adjusted to suit. For the remaining treatment, a balance is struck between when is practical to wear it, and patient comfort.
